Results of independent third party testing

The Hurricane I light was tested at The Light Lab International in Allentown, PA.  This laboratory is an NVLAP (Lab Code: 201079-0) ISO17025 accredited laboratory and an approved laboratory to perform the testing needed for California Energy Commission and DesignLights Consortium programs. This is the top lab on the east coast for accurately testing UV-C light products.

One of the testing highlights was the finding that the light includes a pretty narrow radiation bandwidth, centered right about 276nm, which is what we expected.  We know from various international studies that 275-280 nm is the ideal bandwidth for eradicating viruses, so to land there was exciting.  

The unit was tested at four heights: 6”, 12”, 18”, and 24” above the test surface.  The results were what we expected.  We saw radiated power decreasing with distance.  We fully realized that would be the case.  What was most exciting was the findings at 6”. If you note that the highest power (emanating from the center of the H1, or the (0,0) coordinate at a range of 6" is 155 Watts/ Sq. Meter.

Additionally, at +/3 inches, the averaged power is right about 100 Watts/ sq. meter.  This means that the light is generating enough radiance to eradicate Covid and other viruses within a second and at some places in about 0.6 seconds.  This was consistent with both internal and independent testing done previously.   

The most surprising positive that came from the testing was the radiance outside of the light circle.  Once the light was tested beyond 3 inches from the center, radiance drops off to near 0.  This means beyond this distance, it is safe for humans.  Zero UV-C radiance means no damage at all.  This test definitively proved that the patented pattern of the light system worked precisely as planned and engineered.   

In conclusion, the highly qualified and certified lab concluded that the Hurricane I is safe and effective in eradicating viruses and germs.  The tests concluded were independent and completed by a third party with no affiliation or relationship to The Platinum Group or anyone involved with The Platinum Group.  The results gained were done so without prejudice and verify, beyond a doubt, how powerful and effective the Hurricane lights are.
